Sarah Hong: Biography


Born in Hong Kong.
1982-1987: Studies Fine Art at the "Ecole des Beaux Arts" in Aix-en-Provence, France. Lives and works in Paris, France, after that.
1988-1995 Settles in Southern California. Shifts her attention from figurative to abstract painting.
1990: Spends six months in Hong Kong.
1991-1995: Cooperation with the Riggs Gallery in San Diego.
1995-1998: Settles in Berlin, Germany.
1997: Travels to China and Hong Kong.
1998-2004: Moves back to Southern California.
1999: Begins to show on a regular basis at the Porter Troupe Gallery in San Diego/New York.
2001: Birth of son Nikolas in La Jolla, CA.
2004-2009: Based in Berlin, Germany.
Since 2009: Living in Hong Kong again.
2013: Relocates to the south of France.
2015:Moves to Germany.
2019:Relocates to the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
